WELW

Denny in those days..
Prior to being on The WORD, Denny hosted a radio program called The Cleveland Music Connection and it was broadcast from WELW in Eastlake, Ohio.
From 1999 to 2006, he had guests and talked about Rock and Roll in the city of Cleveland and had caught the attention of many listeners. Sometime in 2006, he invited Fred Grupe to co-host, which lasted for about a year and a half and these shows took on a different look, lending them more towards the sillier side of life.
As you will be able to tell from some of the archived programs, it was a good show and Denny had a good time. During the entire period, the cross-section of guests was amazing. The musical history of Cleveland is quite remarkable, and many of those guests played a major contributing role.
These are the Denny and Fred shots; the caricature is by Anna
